the name! Well for starters, Quinoa, is referred to as,”keen-wah” not
“kwin-oh-ah”. The name may be a little quirky, but this magical food is
full of deliciousness and goodness!
This seed (although many
consider it a grain) is high in protein, iron and fibre, which can be a
huge tick of approval for vegetarians! It is also gluten free, so this
provides a great meal alternative for those who suffer the gluten
intolerance. This superfood is so versatile that is can be combined into
your breakfast, lunch or dinner since there is an abundance of meals
that the food can be added into
Quinoa does have some major health benefits, these being:
- The high levels of protein. It contains more protein then rice or wheat!
- It is a multidimensional carbohydrate with little glycemic index. This is great for those trying to maintain a healthy weight.
